📧 I spent some time this weekend clearing out emails (one of the many 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 - 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗛 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 tasks that I secretly enjoy). One of the biggest things that's helped me with email efficiency over the years was a tip my dad taught me that I want to share with you!

📥 Treat your inbox as a "to do" list with only open items.
📨 Create a 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗗 folder for each year and archive all old emails in there.

It's that simple. You can always search through your emails to find information (confirmation numbers, tracking numbers, etc) but your inbox doesn't have to be a thousand miles long! Whenever you have a chunk of time you can sift back through and delete things from years past that you no longer need.

So if your email inbox is a mess today start by making a "cleared 2020" folder and put ALL of your emails in there (leaving those with action items for you in your inbox). Make a "cleared 2021" folder and you're ready to go!

So you've got a troll who just won't back off. You tried to respond and handle things cordially (see part 1), but what now?

It might be time to block and report.

If a troll keeps attacking publicly, invite them politely to chat via DM. If a resolution can't be made you do have the authority to block someone. Think of your account as your "house" - a space where you set the rules. We should be open to hearing other opinions that might differ from our own, but there's a point at which you may ask your guest to leave (blocking) and if their behavior goes against the social media platform's guidelines you should report them.
